On October 18, Development Fair-2022 was held on the initiative of Ghashful at Sangshail Adivasi School and College Ground in Niamatpur Sadar Union. Managing Director of Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) in the speech of the chief guest. Namita Haladar NDC said that training is the vehicle for sustainable development. There is a constitutional commitment to ensure equal rights for all. For the past 10 years, Ghashful has been doing just that through multifaceted activities – health, education, food, agriculture, handicrafts, poverty alleviation and so on. He said that the work of non-governmental development organizations is not to help, but to make it suitable for sustainable development. Agriculture in Naogaon and Chapainawabganj can contribute more to GDP as well as economic prosperity through increasing production, storage, marketing, export and processing of mangoes. Apart from that, Ghashful will contribute more in the future by establishing technical training centers for youth, ensuring equality between men and women, preventing child marriage, and achieving higher education and skills. PKSF will be a partner of Ghashful in this activity. He also said that Ghashful’s program of providing scholarships to poor and underprivileged meritorious students will be expanded with the help of PKSF.
Maternal and child diseases, diabetes, medicine, heart disease, eye examination and blood grouping are conducted free of charge for the public on the occasion of the fair. 1305 patients were treated and various development activities were demonstrated. In the speech of the president Monzur-ul-Amin Chowdhury said that Ghashful activities will be expanded in Naogaon, Chapainawabganj and Rajshahi Division and Ghashful Complex will be established in Niamatpur to ensure multifaceted service activities. The day-long program ended with a wonderful cultural program performed by tribals and various cultural organizations.
