Distribution of blankets of Ghashful in Hathajari with the help of Commercial Bank of Ceylon

No country or nation can progress by excluding or neglecting any class of people. It is the moral responsibility of all conscious and capable individuals, institutions, society and the state to take proper care of the elderly population in particular. The speakers said these things during the distribution of blankets among poor people and elderly people in Chittagong Hathajari with the help of Commercial Bank of Ceylon under the management of development organization Ghashful.

Blankets were distributed to 150 people in Gumanmaddan Union Parishad premises of Hathajari Upazila of Chittagong District and 150 people in ENRICH Program Office of Mekhal Union. People receiving blankets praise Commercial Bank of Ceylon and Ghashful and wish them success. Mr. Md. Faridur Rahman, Director (Operation) of Ghashful gave a welcome speech at the brief discussion meeting organized at 10.00 am in the premises of Gumanmaddan Union Parishad during the distribution of blankets. Ghashful’s Chief Executive Officer Mr. Aftabur Rahman Jafree presided the event. Commercial Bank of Ceylon Chief Manager and Head of Chittagong Operation Mr. Moazzem Hossain was present as a special guest. Apart from this, Ghashful Deputy Director of Finance and Accounts Mr. Md. Maruful Karim Chowdhury, Commercial Bank of Ceylon Deputy Chief Manager, Agrabad Branch, Mr. Asem Chowdhury, Jubilee Road Branch Manager Mr. Md. Imran Hossain and officials of Bank of Ceylon were present among other guests. Soumitra Chowdhury, Tajul Islam. Acting Assistant Director of Microfinance and Financial Inclusion Department Mr. Md. Nashir Uddin, Area Manager Md. Nazim Uddin, President of Gumanmardan Senior Committee Mr. Sarwardy, General Secretary Md. Shafiul Alam gave a speech. ENRICH program officials and local dignitaries were also present among others. The event was moderated by Mohammad Arif, Coordinator of the ENRICH Program.
