On January 09, Tuesday, Niamatpur Union of Naogaon district, under the initiative of Ghashful, blankets and petroleum jelly were distributed among the local people under the ENRICH program of the organization. The guests of the event organized on this occasion were 500 elderly, poor and tribal community people from various educational institutions including Sangshail Darul Uloom Karimia Madrasa, Niamatpur Hazrat Ali (RA) Hafezia Madrasa, Kanan Halimatus Chadia Mahila Hafezia Madrasa. 600 students were given petroleum jelly.
Chairman of Niamatpur Upazila Parishad Md Farid Ahmed was present as the chief guest in the meeting held under the chairmanship of Niamatpur Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md Farooq Sufian and Niamatpur UP Chairman Md Bazlur Rahman Naeem and former Ghashful General Body member Nazneen Rahman were present as special guests. Ghashful’s assistant director K. M. G. Rabbani Basunia, Md. Saidur Rahman Khan, Acting Assistant Director Mohammad Nasir Uddin, ENRICH Program Coordinator Dharmajoy Burman, SEP Technical Officer S. M. Kamrul Hasan, Branch Manager Abul Kalam Azad and ENRICH Program officials were also present. The program was conducted by the area manager of the organization, Md. Anwar Hossain. Local journalists, teachers and dignitaries were present on the occasion.
It is mentioned here that the distributed 500 blanket grants were provided by Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited and these were collected with the sincere efforts by the independent director K.A.M. Mazedur Rahman of the bank. On the other hand, 600 Petroleum Jelly were donated from Lions Club of Chittagong Parijat Elite through Marico Bangladesh Limited.
