The Executive Committee meeting of the Federation of NGOs in Bangladesh (FNB), Chattogram District, was held on 28 July at its temporary office in Chandgaon Residential Area, with a renewed commitment to strengthening collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and coordinated development efforts among NGOs.
The meeting was chaired by Aftabur Rahman Jafree, newly elected President of FNB Chattogram District for the 2026–2028 term and Chief Executive Officer of Ghashful.
Speakers called for collective action by member organizations to make FNB’s activities more participatory, dynamic, and effective. They emphasized that stronger cooperation among development organizations is essential for advancing sustainable development, social justice, and the well-being of marginalized communities.
The meeting was addressed by FNB Chattogram Vice President and OPCA Executive Director Md. Alamgir, who joined virtually; General Secretary and BURO Bangladesh Divisional Manager Md. Abdus Salam; BRAC Divisional Manager Nazrul Islam Majumder; BRAC District Coordinator Enamul Hasan; Caritas Chattogram Regional Director Marcel Ratan Guda; BELA Divisional Coordinator Munira Parveen; and SKUS Executive Director Maruf Billah Javed.
During the event, Aftabur Rahman Jafree was presented with a commemorative crest by the Executive Committee to congratulate him on his election as President.
Two departing development leaders were also honoured on the occasion of their workplace transfers. Md. Abdus Salam and Marcel Ratan Guda received commemorative crests in recognition of their longstanding dedication, leadership, and significant contributions to development initiatives. Members wished them continued success in their future professional journeys.
Representatives from Ghashful, BRAC, Caritas, BURO Bangladesh, BELA, SKUS, OPCA, ASA, Jagorani Chakra Foundation, SSS, TMSS, Dhaka Ahsania Mission, POPI, and other member organizations participated in the meeting.
The program concluded with a shared commitment to deepening mutual cooperation, exchanging experience, and advancing collective development initiatives across Chattogram.
