A day-long training workshop titled “Introduction to Micro-Enterprises and Financing Strategies” was held on 16 May 2025 at the conference room of Dana Park in Naogaon, organized by Ghashful’s Naogaon Zone. The workshop brought together Branch Managers and Area Managers from 24 branches of the organization.

The event was graced by Ghashful’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Aftabur Rahman Jafree, who attended as the Chief Guest. In his inaugural speech, he emphasized the importance of agricultural-based enterprise development and the formation of enterprise clusters. “In today’s context, cluster-based initiatives are vital for the promotion of agro-based micro-enterprises. Such initiatives not only foster financial inclusion but also contribute to sustainable livelihoods,” he said. He urged the participants to adopt practical approaches and ensure their effective implementation at the grassroots level.

Also present at the event were Mr. Jayanta Kumer Bosu, Deputy Director of Ghashful; Mr. Saidur Rahman Khan, Assistant Director (Microfinance); Mr. K.M.G. Rabbani Basunia, Assistant Director (SDP); and Mr. Md. Amir Hamza, Project Manager of RMTP.

In their discussions, the speakers highlighted that a successful micro-enterprise requires more than just financial support. Entrepreneurial skills, market analysis, supply chain integration, and environmental awareness all play key roles. The participants engaged in interactive sessions focused on case studies and effective financing models.

The training aimed to equip field-level managers with the skills to identify potential micro-entrepreneurs, provide them with tailored financial support, and actively contribute to the sustainability of local enterprise initiatives.

At the end of the session, certificates were awarded to all participants.
