World Population Day 2026 was observed in Chattogram through a series of programs under the theme, “Realize the hopes and aspirations of young people; build a better tomorrow with today’s commitment.” The occasion highlighted the importance of raising awareness and improving services related to family planning, maternal health, and child health.
In recognition of its significant contribution to family planning and maternal and child health services, Ghashful received a commemorative award. The honor was formally presented to a representative of the organization at a discussion meeting held on 12 July at the Chattogram District Family Planning Office building.
The event was attended by officials from the Family Planning Department, representatives of the health sector, NGOs, and members of civil society. Speakers emphasized that coordinated efforts by government and non-government institutions are essential to ensuring planned families, safe motherhood, newborn and child healthcare, and greater awareness of young people’s health and rights.
For many years, Ghashful has been playing an important role in expanding family planning, reproductive health, maternal and child healthcare, community awareness, and health services in different parts of the country. This recognition reflects the organization’s continued commitment and contribution in these areas.
