Twenty-three institutions in thirteen categories have been awarded for the best Annual Report of 2019 at the initiative of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB). Ghashful, a non-governmental development organization, was joint second in the NGO category of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) for the Best Annual Report of 2019. On the occasion, Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi, the Chief Guest, handed over the prizes to the winners at a splendid function held at the Hotel Sonargaon, Dhaka on November 26, 2020. Chief Executive Officer of Ghashful, Aftabur Rahman Jafree received the award on behalf of the organization. Commerce Secretary Zafar Uddin and Chairman of the Financial Reporting Council (FRC) Prof. Muhammad Hamid Ullah Bhuiyan were present as Special guests.
Ghashful also won the second runners-up award in the NGO category given by the South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA) for the Best Annual Report of 2019. The award was handed over to Ghashful Officer Tutul Kumar Das (Manager, Audit and Monitoring) at the ICAB auditorium on December 23, 2020 through The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka Virtual Platform. ICAB President Mohammad Farooq FCA, SAFA Vice-President A. K. M. Delwar Hossain FCMA and ICAB Council Member Mohammad Humayun Kabir FCA were present at the event. It is to be mentioned that Ghashful won the ICAB Merit Award in 2017, in 2018 Ghashful placed 2nd position in ICAB and 2nd place in SAFA Award for publishing the Best Annual Report.
