The joy of Eid-ul-Adha arrived a little early for the children of Ghashful Foster Children Care Centre in Niamatpur, Naogaon. In a warm and compassionate initiative filled with love, empathy and social responsibility, Eid gifts were distributed among the children on Friday, 22 May 2026, at the Foster Children Care Centre operated by Ghashful.
The centre, located in Uttarbari, Niamatpur, turned into a joyful gathering as Honorable Member of Parliament for Naogaon-1, Alhaj Md. Mostafizur Rahman MP, attended the programme as the Chief Guest and handed over Eid gift items to the foster children.
The gift packages included shemai, sugar, polao rice, spices, oil, noodles, soap, shampoo and different snacks. Alongside the Eid gifts, cash support was also provided to the foster families for the care, upbringing and maintenance of the children as part of the centre’s regular monthly support.
The smiling faces of the children and the festive atmosphere made the programme truly vibrant. Some children held their gift packets close with excitement, while others shared their Eid stories happily with friends.
Appreciating Ghashful’s humanitarian initiative, the Honorable Member of Parliament stated that standing beside vulnerable children is not only an act of charity, but also a moral responsibility. He mentioned that Ghashful’s work in ensuring the protection, education and care of these children is truly commendable.
He thanked Ghashful and conveyed his special greetings to the Chief Executive Officer. He also expressed his personal interest in providing separate gifts for each child and assured his continued participation and overall support for different initiatives of Ghashful in the future.
The Officer-in-Charge of Niamatpur Police Station and leaders from different levels of the Upazila BNP were also present at the event.
The programme was chaired by Mr. K.M.G. Rabbani Basunia, Assistant Director, Social Development Program of Ghashful. The overall supervision was led by Mr. Md. Anwar Hossain, Acting Zonal Manager of Niamatpur Zone. Mr. Md. Shariful Islam, Area Manager, and Mr. Md. Shahidul Islam, Branch Manager, were also present. The programme was moderated by Mr. Md. Kohinur Islam, Upazila Program Coordinator.
