Women will move forward by using their potential skills. The contribution of women in different sectors of the society during the COVID-19 period is undeniable. For the development of women, the social and economic development infrastructure need to be developed. Women have to come forward with courage and with the cooperation of all they will move forward. A self-reliant, modern, democratic and technological Bangladesh without any discrimination was the dream of the war of liberation. It is possible to implement it only with the combined initiative and cooperation of men and women. With the theme “Women Leadership during COVID-19, Build a New World of Equality”, on the occasion of International Women’s Day 2021, Dr. Manzur-Ul-Amin Chowdhury, Chairman, Ghashful inaugurated the two-part program of the day by cutting the cake at 9:30 am at Ghashful Head Office, Badsha Mia Road, Chattogram.
At the first part of the program, Director (Operations) Faridur Rahman, Deputy Director of Administration and Human Resources Mofizur Rahman and Deputy Director of Finance and Accounts Maruful Karim Chowdhury spoke at the inaugural function conducted by Jahanara Begum, General Council Member of the organization. Nibedita Pal performed in a song, and in another song Tanzila Jahan, Fatema Akhtar, Gulshan Ara, Farida Yasmeen, Mallika Das and Jobaida Gulshan-Ara performed along with her. Imrana Nasreen recited a poem. Ghashful Chairman presided the second phase of the program. A virtual discussion meeting was organized under the chairmanship and conduction of Manzur-ul-Amin Chowdhury. Samiha Salim, General Secretary of Ghashful Executive Committee gave welcome speech in the discussion.
On the occasion, among those who gave their valuable speech were- Chief Adviser of the organization Dr. Sadia Afroz Chowdhury, Advisor Suraiya Jannat FCA, Joint-General Secretary of Ghashful Executive Committee Kabita Barua, Member Prof. Dr. Zainab Begum, Member of the General Assembly and former Secretary Md. Music was performed by Adiba Tarannum, poetry was recited by Imrana Nasrin and group music was performed by Nivedita Pal, Tanzila Jahan, Fatema Akter, Gulshan Ara, Farida Yasmeen, Mallika Das and Jobaida Gulshan-Ara. Also present were Shahana Muhith, General Assembly Member, Khaleda Akhter, Assistant Director, Tutul Kumar Das, Audit and Monitoring Manager, Syed Mamunur Rahman, Manager, Administration Department, and Jasmine Akhter, Assistant Manager, Publications Department.
