Practical skills are essential to turning young people’s aspirations into employment. To highlight training opportunities and pathways to work, Ghashful organised a RAISE Community Outreach Meeting on 9 September at the auditorium of Chattogram Bandar Mohammadia Dakhil Madrasa. The event brought together 154 participants, including prospective young trainees and Master Craft Persons (MCPs).
Jointly funded by PKSF and the World Bank, the RAISE project aims to strengthen young people’s skills, expand employment opportunities and support young entrepreneurs. Implemented through PKSF’s Partner Organizations, the project is delivered by Ghashful in Chattogram, providing information on market-driven training, opportunities in new trades, employment and self-employment.
Project Coordinator Kazi Md. Sirajus Salekin highlighted the importance of skills development, employment and entrepreneurship. Participants received guidance on choosing suitable trades based on their skills, interests and potential.
The meeting reinforced that training goes beyond earning a certificate: the right skills can empower young people to become self-reliant and build a better future.
