Ghashful Observes the 26th Death Anniversary of M. L. Rahman

Ghashful observed the 26th death anniversary of its late Chief Patron and distinguished tax adviser, M. L. Rahman, on 1 August 2026 through Qur’an recitations, Milad, prayer gatherings, and meals for children in Dhaka, Chattogram, and Naogaon.

In Dhaka, a Khatm-e-Qur’an, Milad, and special prayer gathering was held at Azimpur Graveyard. In Chattogram, the Ghashful family organized a similar program at Mohammadia Faizul Ulum Madrasa and Orphanage in Chandgaon Residential Area, followed by meals for the teachers and students.

In his birthplace of Niamatpur, Naogaon, a Qur’an recitation and prayer gathering was held at Hazrat Ali (RA) Hafezia Qawmi Madrasa and Shishu Sadan. A lunch was also arranged for madrasa students, children of the Ghashful Foster Children Care Centre, and other participants.

Mohammad Lutfor Rahman was born on 1 December 1925 in Niamatpur Upazila of Naogaon. During his long professional career, he earned recognition as a prominent income tax adviser in Chattogram. He passed away on 1 August 2000 while receiving treatment at a hospital in the United States.

His contribution to the establishment, growth, and humanitarian foundation of Ghashful remains invaluable. He was also associated with several social and charitable institutions, including Chattogram Maa-O-Shishu Hospital and the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society, and actively supported humanitarian initiatives of Lions Clubs.

On his 26th death anniversary, the Ghashful family remembered him with profound respect and offered prayers for the forgiveness and eternal peace of his departed soul.
