Dr. Anupam Sen in his speech said that under the government’s safety net program the country has developed a lot and far ahead than the neighbouring country India in achieving GDP in many sectors. Our government has been working hard to achieve the sustainable development goals(SDG). He also mentioned that we cannot stop child labour with only judicial help, it has to be done through coordination in all aspect in the country. While presenting his keynotes Dr. Monzur-Ul-Amin Chy mentioned that according to a research currently in our public transportation sector there are more than 50% illegal drivers with fake driving licenses. The condition of child labour in this sector is horrifying.  He thinks it is very much necessary that the Government should take immediate initiative to stop the child labour in high-risk areas in transportation sector including other high-risk working sectors and come up with a rehabilitation plan for them. The biggest challenge is the implementation of the government’s commitment to eliminate child labour, laws, structural arrangements, finances, projects to eliminate child labor, by 2021 or 2025.  Mohammed Al Amin, Deputy Director for the Department of Inspection for Factories and Establishments was present at the meeting as panelist along with Chairman of Chottogram Journalist Union Nazimuddin Shyamol , Child Protection Coordinator from MJF Razifa Shaheen, Regional Advocacy  and Child Protection Officer Meer Rezaul Karim from World Vision Bangladesh, Jesmin Sultana Paru CEO of Ellma , Coordinator from YPSA Mohammed Ali Shaheen.
