On 15th August 2019 a discussion meeting and doa mahfil was organized at the premises of Union Parishad by Guman Mardan Union Parishad in collaboration with Ghashful to observe 44th death anniversary of the Father of the Nation Bangabondhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahamn . On the day of the occasion the Chairman of the parliamentary standing committee of the Ministry of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment, Barrister Anisul Islam Mahmud, MP attended the meeting as the Chief Guest while the Chairman of Union Parishad of Guman Mardan Mohd. Mujibur Rahman presided over the meeting. At the beginning of the meeting, the guests paid homage to the portrait of Bangabandhu and stood in silence for a minute. UP Secretary Mohd. Taiyeb conducted the meeting and the Deputy Director – HR and Admin of Ghashful Mafizur Rahman gave the welcome speech. Deputy Director of Social Service Department, Chattogram District Shahidul Islam, Chairman of Dholoi Union Parishod Alamgir Zaman CIP, Panel Chairman Syed Mohd. Zahed Hossain, UP member of the 7no. ward Sheikh Mohd. Jamaluddin, son of great freedom fighter Gazi Zahidul Islam Chowdhury and Project coordinator of ENRICH project Mohd. Arif shared their speech as special guest. At the meeting the Chief guest mentioned in his speech that the government is implementing the dream and ideology of Bangabondhu by bringing service to the doorsteps of the people trough development and digital activities. Officer in charge of Hathazari Model Thana Belal Uddin Jahangir, freedom fighters and their family members , UP members and local community people attended the meeting. Mohammed Habibullah recited the Holy Quran and the munazat was conducted by Mowlana Mohd. Abdur Razzak. Five distressed women were given checks as donation at the event.
On the same day in ENRICH office at Mekhol the National mourning day was observed. Project coordinator-Mohd. Nasir presided over the meeting while the Chairman of Mekhol Union Parishad Mohd. Salauddin attended the meeting as the Chief Guest. In his speech he discussed the life of the Father of the nation and called upon everyone to build a successful Bangladesh by following his spirit and ideology. Among the special guest there were Union Parishad Member Baby Akter, Khurshida Begum, and Social worker Syed Mohd. Mahfuzur Rahman, Member of Youth Development program Kazi Mohd. Abdul Maruf. The employees of ENRICH project along with many local community people were present at the meeting. Both union showed the video documentary “ Chiranjeevi” based on the biography of the Father of the nation.
