Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH)
What We Do under “Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH)”:
Ghashful supports rural communities to improve water, sanitation, and hygiene infrastructure and practices. Activities include expanding access to safe drinking water, installing hygienic sanitation facilities, and promoting behavior change for improved hygiene—contributing to healthier households and the reduction of waterborne diseases.
Who We Serve:
The initiative targets underserved and hard-to-reach rural populations, particularly those lacking access to safe water and adequate sanitation systems.
Key Program and Supporters:
This thematic area is implemented through the Bangladesh Rural Water Sanitation and Hygiene for Human Capital Development Project, supported by PKSF, the World Bank, and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB).
