With support from Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) and the World Bank, Ghashful continues to regularly monitor apprentices’ progress, training quality, and skills development under the Results-Based Apprenticeship for Innovative Skills Enhancement (RAISE) Project.

On 12 January 2026, field visits were conducted in Hathazari to observe apprentices engaged in various servicing trades. Interactions with Master Craft Persons (MCPs) and close observation of training activities revealed that the apprentices are disciplined, committed, and making steady progress in acquiring practical, hands-on skills.

The monitoring visit was attended by Mr. Kazi Md. Sirajus Salakeen, Project Coordinator; Mr. Sarfaraz Chowdhury, Area Manager; and Mr. Mizanur Rahman, Branch Manager, along with other concerned officials.

According to available data, nearly 84–85% of the country’s employed labor force works in the informal sector, through unorganized labor or self-employed small enterprises—making this sector a vital contributor to the national economy. Millions of young people are engaged here, and with access to technical training and dignified working environments, they can become a strong driving force for national development.

Through the RAISE Project, Ghashful remains committed to strengthening youth skills and improving employability within the informal sector.
