With financial and technical support from Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) and the World Bank, and implemented by Ghashful, monitoring and quality assurance activities on apprentice progress and training standards are currently ongoing under the Results-Based Apprenticeship for Innovative Skills Enhancement (RAISE) Project.
As part of this initiative, field visits were conducted on 29 December in Sarkarhat, Mekhal, Hathazari Sadar, and Chowdhuryhat areas of Hathazari Upazila, Chattogram, to observe apprentices engaged in Welding and Fabrication, Tailoring and Dress Making, Mobile Phone Servicing, and Beautification trades.
During the visits, discussions were held with the respective MCPs to closely assess apprentices’ regular attendance, progress in professional skill development, and the overall quality of training. The monitoring team observed a positive level of enthusiasm, discipline, and practical, hands-on skill development among the apprentices.
The monitoring activity was led by Mr. Jayanta Kumer Bosu, Deputy Director and Focal Person of Ghashful. The team further included Mr. Sarfaraz, Area Manager of Hathazari Zone; Kazi Md. Sirajus Salekeen, Project Coordinator; Md. Gias Uddin Parvez, Accounts Officer; along with other relevant officials.
