Background:
Access to basic healthcare remains a significant challenge for marginalized and low-income communities in Chattogram. Recognizing this gap, Ghashful has been implementing the MCMPP Project to provide essential health and nutrition services, family planning, and community awareness initiatives. The project focuses on reaching the most vulnerable households, ensuring equitable access to quality healthcare and empowering communities with knowledge to safeguard their well-being.

Objective:
The project aims to provide consistent and reliable access to essential health services, promote maternal and child health, facilitate family planning, and create awareness on health and nutrition among marginalized communities.

Key Activities:
Through the MCMPP Project, Ghashful operates medical centers that offer a comprehensive range of services tailored to community needs. These include family planning and postpartum family planning services to support reproductive health and maternal care. Maternal and child health services are provided to ensure safe pregnancies, deliveries, and early childhood care.

Adolescent health services form a critical component, addressing the unique needs of young people through counseling, guidance, and preventive care. The project also emphasizes referral systems, counseling, and ongoing monitoring to ensure that patients receive timely and appropriate treatment. By integrating healthcare delivery with community awareness programs, Ghashful empowers individuals to make informed decisions about their health and nutrition, fostering healthier and more resilient communities.
