In a heartwarming display of community spirit, Ghashful celebrated National Social Service Day in collaborated with PKSF in various initiatives, including the distribution of blankets, organizing meetings, and a spirited rally on 2nd January 2024. The event, held amidst the chilling winter, saw expressions of gratitude from marginalized and needy individuals who received much-needed warmth through the distributed blankets.
In continuation of this effort, a number of esteemed organizations also extended their support through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts to the program participants of Ghashful, focusing on women and marginalized people belonging to ethnic communities at Naogaon and Chattogram. The CSR efforts were given by Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC, Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC, EXIM Bank PLC, and organizations and individuals from corporate sectors.
Distinguished guests graced the events at various locations within Ghashful’s working areas in Chattogram and Naogaon. Mr. Imran Hossain, Head of Branch of Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC, Mr. Qazi Omar Elahi, Manager and AVP of EXIM Bank’s Shantirhat Branch, Chairman of Gumanmardan Union Parishad Mujibor Rahman, Niamatpur Upazila Parishad Chairman Farid Ahmed, Porsha Upazila Chairman, Mr. Shah Monjur Morshed Chowdhury, social worker and educationist Abu Kalam Master, and Ms. Parveen Mahmud FCA, Member of Executive Committee of Ghashful, graced the occasions as Chief Guests on the blankets distribution CSR events that took place in the following days of this month at Ghashful’s working areas in Chattogram and Naogaon districts.
The disadvantaged indigenous people and impoverished women who received blankets expressed their heartfelt gratitude, acknowledging the significant impact the blankets have had in keeping them warm during the harsh winter.
