Ghashful secured first place in the high-value crops sector at the third quarterly review of the SMART Project organized by PKSF. PKSF announced the result on 3rd March at its headquarters, following a comprehensive performance evaluation.
On behalf of Ghashful, K.M.G. Rabbani Basunia, Project Focal Person and Assistant Director (SDP), and Mostafa Kamal, Project Manager, received the crest. The achievement reflects Ghashful’s strong implementation capacity, transparency, and effective field-level action.
SMART—Sustainable Microenterprise and Resilient Transformation—drives microenterprise creation, promotes sustainable agriculture, and builds climate-resilient production systems. With PKSF’s support, Ghashful implements the SMART Fruit Project across Sapahar, Porsha, Niamatpur, and Patnitala upazilas of Naogaon District, focusing on Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production (RECP) to boost fruit output.
The initiative has already delivered visible progress in cultivating mango, guava, dragon fruit, strawberry, jujube, and malta, while engaging local farmers to unlock new pathways for sustainable agriculture and regional economic growth in Naogaon.
