Ghashful RAISE Project Holds Data Management Workshop in Naogaon

Recognizing that effective information management is at the heart of sound decision-making, Ghashful’s RAISE Project organized a workshop on “Strengthening Information Management” on 7 July at Dana Park in Naogaon, with financial and technical support from PKSF.

The workshop brought together senior representatives of Ghashful and development professionals, including Vice President of Ghashful Executive Committee Shib Narayan Kairy, CEO Aftabur Rahman Jafree, Adviser of Antor Imranul Haque Chowdhury, former Director (Finance) of BURO Bangladesh Mosharraf Hossain, and Deputy Director Jayanta Kumer Bosu. Also present were Assistant Director (Microfinance) Saeedur Rahman Khan, Assistant Director (SDP) K.M.G. Rabbani Bosunia, and Zonal Manager Md. Anwar Hossain.

Speakers emphasized that data is now one of the strongest drivers of development. Accurate collection, secure storage, effective analysis, and timely use of information can significantly improve transparency, accountability, and service quality. Data-driven planning not only strengthens decision-making, but also makes development initiatives more effective and sustainable.

The workshop featured detailed discussions on modern methods of data collection, storage, verification, use, and coordination. Participants engaged in lively exchanges on practical experiences, challenges, and opportunities, while also exploring strategies to improve field-level information management.

RAISE Project Coordinator Kazi Md. Sirajus Salekeen presented the project’s objectives, progress, and future plans, noting that stronger information management will enhance both the speed and quality of project implementation.

Area Managers, Branch Managers, and Audit Officers working across Naogaon and Chapainawabganj took part in the workshop, reaffirming Ghashful’s commitment to more effective, transparent, and technology-driven development management.
