From 18–22 May, Ghashful participated in two timely and significant training programs titled “Environment & Environmental Law” and “Right to Information (RTI)”, organized by Bangladesh Environmental Lawyers Association (BELA).
These trainings were held with the support of the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) and took place respectively at BELA Conference Room in Dhaka and Shakti Training Center in Birulia, Savar.
The training sessions were enriched by the vibrant participation of lawyers, environmentalists, academics, and development professionals from various parts of the country. Representing Ghashful, Communication and Fundraising Officer Adiba Tarannum took part in the trainings and highlighted the organization’s commitment to environmental responsibility.
Among the distinguished experts present were Dr. Ainun Nishat, Professor Anu Muhammad, Dr. Enamul Haque, Taslima Islam, and Gawher Nayeem Wahra. They shared insightful discussions on critical issues such as environmental conservation, climate change, sustainable agriculture, climate finance, disaster risk reduction, and public accountability.
The training sessions have deepened our environmental awareness and inspired Ghashful to integrate more environment-sensitive approaches into its ongoing and future initiatives.
Ghashful extends its sincere gratitude to BELA and SIDA for organizing such timely and impactful initiatives that empower individuals and organizations to move toward a greener and more sustainable future.
