Ghashful Celebrates Pahela Baishakh with Vibrant Festivities Across Projects

On 14th April. 2025, Ghashful welcomed Bengali New Year 1432 with a series of colorful celebrations across its various projects, bringing joy, cultural pride, and community spirit to children, students, and staff alike.

At the Ghashful Foster Children Care Center in Niamatpur, Naogaon, a vibrant cultural program was organized, featuring performances of dance, music, and poetry by the orphaned children. Dressed in traditional Baishakhi attire, the children experienced a day full of festivities, complete with special treats like yogurt and sweets. For many, it was a first-time experience participating in such a lively celebration, filling their hearts with happiness and hope. The event was graced by the presence of KMG Rabbani Bosunia, Assistant Director and SDP Focal Person, Mohammad Kohinur Islam, Upazila Program Coordinator (ENRICH Program), and other Ghashful officials.

In parallel, students of the Ghashful ENRICH Education Support Centers in Niamatpur celebrated the day with great enthusiasm alongside Ghashful staff members. Moreover, Ghashful officials actively participated in the Upazila Administration’s Pahela Baishakh program, which featured a colorful rally, discussion sessions, and cultural performances reflecting the rich heritage of Bengali traditions. The event, chaired by the Upazila Nirbahi Officer, Mr. Md. Rezaul Komir, was a vibrant display of unity and cultural pride. Ghashful representatives including Deputy Manager Md. Anwar Hossain, Mohammad Kohinur Islam (Upazila Program Coordinator, ENRICH), Md. Abdullah (ECCCP Project Coordinator), Branch Manager Md. Shahidul Islam, and others were present on this occasion.

Meanwhile, at Ghashful Poran Rahman School, a spirited Pahela Baishakh celebration took place featuring a “ষোলআনা বাঙালিআনা” costume competition, where students creatively showcased traditional Bengali cultural elements like patsari, nakshi kantha, alpana, and festive musical instruments. A joyful mishtimukh ceremony was also organized for students and their parents, creating a lively and festive atmosphere throughout the school campus. The school authorities emphasized that the event aimed to nurture among students a love for Bengali heritage, culture, and the spirit of sharing happiness.

Through these various initiatives, Ghashful spread the colorful message of unity, tradition, and hope, making Pahela Baishakh 1432 a memorable and meaningful celebration for all.
