On the occasion of National Social Services Day 2026 on 3rd January, development organization Ghashful actively participated in the discussion meeting and rally held in Chattogram.
This year’s theme was “Trust in Welfare and Equity through Technology and Compassion”, which highlighted the importance of collective participation in advancing social services across all sectors of society.
The event was graced by Mr. Jahidul Islam Mia, Deputy Commissioner of Chattogram, as the Chief Guest. Welcome remarks were delivered by Mr. Mohammad Faridul Alam, Deputy Director, Department of Social Services, Chattogram, while the session was chaired by Mr. Mohammad Minhajur Rahman, Director, Divisional Department of Social Services, Chattogram.
Speakers emphasized that all stakeholders must come forward from their respective positions to contribute to social welfare, particularly in ensuring social protection, safeguarding women’s rights, and supporting persons with disabilities.
Following the program, Sirajul Islam, Project Coordinator of Ghashful, received a certificate of recognition from the Department of Social Services, acknowledging the organization’s active engagement in social development initiatives.
