On 27 October 2026, officials from Ghashful’s Head Office visited two of the organization’s humanitarian initiatives in Niamatpur, Naogaon—one focused on restoring sight, the other on nurturing children in a family environment.

At Dargapara village, Ghashful’s Niamatpur Branch organized a free eye camp with support from Orbis International and PKSF, and technical assistance from Ispahani Islamia Eye Institute and Hospital. A total of 100 people received free eye examinations, with cataracts detected in 28 patients. Their surgeries are planned for 3 November.

The visiting team included Deputy Director (Finance & Accounts) Maruful Karim Chowdhury, Audit Manager Wahed Jaber Chowdhury, and Program Coordinator Sirajul Islam. Zonal Manager Anwar Hossain, Area Manager Md. Sharif Ahmed, and SDP Officer Md. Kohinur Islam were also present.

Later that day, the team visited the Ghashful Foster Children Care Centre, where 15 children are growing up in 15 foster families with care, education, healthcare, tutoring, recreation, and emotional support.

Launched on 12 March 2024 in Uttarbari, Niamatpur, with guidance and support from development practitioner Nezbah Masud, the initiative is not an orphanage. Its purpose is to help children grow within a caring family setting, while foster parents also receive guidance and training to support their well-being.

Two different initiatives, one shared commitment: standing beside people with care, dignity, and hope.
