FNB Chattogram District Holds AGM 2026, Forms New Executive Committee

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2026 of the Federation of NGOs in Bangladesh (FNB), Chattogram District, was held on 2 February at the conference hall of BURO Bangladesh, Chattogram.

The meeting was chaired by Aftabur Rahman Jafree, President of FNB Chattogram District and CEO of Ghashful. The Secretary of FNB and Divisional Manager of BURO Bangladesh Chattogram Division, Abdus Salam, presented a review of the organization’s activities and achievements over the past year. He highlighted FNB’s role in ensuring legal protection, ethical standards, and accountability across the development sector.

In accordance with the constitution, a new Executive Committee was formed through consensus. Aftabur Rahman Jafree was re-elected as President, while Abdus Salam was elected as Secretary.

In the newly formed committee, Md. Alamgir, Executive Director of APOKA, and Md. Nazrul Islam Majumder, Divisional Manager of BRAC Chattogram, were nominated as Vice Presidents. Mohammad Nasir Uddin, Senior DM of ASA, was unanimously nominated as Treasurer.
Md. Moniruzzaman, Zonal Manager of SSS, was nominated as Assistant Secretary, while Uttam Kumar Sarkar, Assistant Director of Padakhep, was nominated as Assistant Treasurer.

In addition, the following organizations were unanimously nominated as Executive Members: Caritas Bangladesh, BELA, CODEC, SAJIDA Foundation, Jagarani Chakra Foundation, TMSS, POPY, Dhaka Ahsania Mission, Rik, DORP, NGO Forum for Public Health, SKS, and SARPV.

The meeting concluded with best wishes for the success of the newly formed committee’s development initiatives and the formal closing of AGM 2026.
