Environment-friendly Agriculture, Green Enterprise, and Livelihoods
What We Do under “Environment-friendly Agriculture, Green Enterprise, and Livelihoods” :
Ghashful promotes sustainable agricultural practices and eco-conscious enterprise development by supporting small and marginal farmers, agro-entrepreneurs, and rural producers. Our work includes financial services, value chain development, technological assistance, market promotion, and the adoption of climate-resilient and resource-efficient production methods. These efforts aim to enhance income, generate employment, improve nutrition, and contribute to environmental sustainability.
Who We Serve:
Our interventions benefit smallholder farmers, women-led rural enterprises, and low-income entrepreneurs involved in high-value agriculture, poultry, and related agri-businesses across rural areas of Bangladesh.
Key Programs and Supporters:
This thematic area is implemented through the Promotion of Value-Added Fruit Products Project under the SMART Project (supported by PKSF and the World Bank), and the Safe Poultry and Poultry Product Market Development Project, a sub-project of the Rural Microenterprise Transformation Project (RMTP) (supported by PKSF and IFAD, with earlier technical support from DANIDA).
