In line with the guidelines of the Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF), a day-long strategic workshop was held at Ghashful’s Naogaon Zone to strengthen the effective implementation of the Microenterprise Financing Policy and to formulate a forward-looking strategic action plan.
The workshop took place on 8 February at the Choumashia Branch and was attended by Aftabur Rahman Jafree, Chief Executive Officer of Ghashful; Jayanta Kumar Bosu, Deputy Director; Saidur Rahman Khan; and K. M. G. Rabbani Basunia, Assistant Director (SDP). Branch Managers from 12 branches under the Naogaon Zone and two Area Managers also participated in the workshop.
The sessions included in-depth and explanatory discussions on the service charge policy for microenterprise loans. In addition, practical guidance was provided on the formulation and implementation of Ghashful’s three-year strategic action plan, with a strong focus on how field-level initiatives can be effectively designed to achieve set targets.
Special emphasis was placed on the accountability of branch and field-level officials, the importance of coordinated efforts, and the need for continuous professional capacity development to ensure effective service delivery.
In his address, the Chief Executive Officer stated, “Microenterprise financing is not merely a financial activity; it is a crucial instrument for sustainably empowering entrepreneurs. Therefore, along with proper policy implementation, there is no alternative to transparency, integrity, and teamwork.” He urged all participants to carry out the agreed action plans with sincerity and a strong sense of responsibility.
The day-long workshop concluded successfully with the closing remarks of the Chief Executive Officer, reaffirming Ghashful’s commitment to strengthening inclusive and sustainable microenterprise financing practices.
