With support from PKSF, the annual sports and cultural competition under the Ghashful ENRICH Program was successfully held on 14 December 2025 in No. 3 Bhabicha Union of Niamatpur upazila, Naogaon. Members from adolescent groups, senior citizens, youth in development initiatives and the ENRICH education support activities participated in the event with great enthusiasm.
Following ward level selection rounds, around 600 participants including students from 18 education support centers took part in the final stage, competing in a total of 39 sports and cultural events. At the end of the competition, 117 participants who secured first, second and third positions in different events were awarded prizes. The sports and cultural competitions were officiated by Md. Sirajul Islam, a referee certified by the Bangladesh Football Federation.
The event was attended by the Acting Chairman of No. 3 Bhabicha Union Parishad, Miya Md. Mamunur Rashid, as the Chief Guest. Special Guests included Ghashful Assistant Director K. M. G. Rabbani Basunia and Acting Zonal Manager Md. Anwar Hossain. Local dignitaries of Bhabicha Union and members of various programme activities were also present.
The programme was presided over by Abdul Hamid, President of the Elderly People’s Livelihood Improvement Programme of Bhabicha Union. Overall coordination was provided by Md. Kahinur Islam, Coordinator of the ENRICH Program, along with Assistant Upazila Programme Coordinator Md. Mizanur Rahman, Branch Manager Md. Shahidul Islam, Dr. Md. Imran Hossain, teachers, health inspectors and other relevant officials of Ghashful.
