Two-Day Workshop for Ghashful Chattogram Zone Staff Successfully Concluded

A two-day workshop with the participation of all staff from the Chattogram Zone of Ghashful was successfully held on 12 and 13 September 2025 at the organization’s Oxygen Branch Office, completed in four batches.

The workshop covered extensive discussions on key topics including quality improvement in microfinance operations, organizational human resource policies, loan policies, MRA rules and regulations, and other important compliance issues.

Speaking as Chief Guest, Mr. Aftabur Rahman Jafree, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ghashful, reflected on the current context of loan operations and remarked: “We must learn from our past experiences. Utilizing those lessons, we have no alternative but to move forward with renewed energy towards the future.” He highlighted the responsibility and innovative initiatives of field staff as the driving force of sustainable development.

The main discussion was led by Mr. Jayanta Kumer Bosu, Deputy Director and Head of Microfinance and Financial Inclusion Department, who stressed the importance of maintaining quality control in microfinance activities, adhering to laws and regulations, and strictly avoiding policy violations in the field. He also urged all officers to remain vigilant about responsible management and transparency.

Mohammad Nasir Uddin, Assistant Director of Chattogram Zone, also delivered a guiding speech during the session. In addition, Area Managers from Chattogram City South, Hathazari, Halishahar, and City North enriched the workshop with their active participation.

The workshop served as a platform for strengthening organizational capacity, enhancing staff competence, and reinforcing a culture of responsibility and compliance, paving the way for more effective service delivery at the grassroots level.
