Child Education, Rights and Protection

Child education

What We Do under “Child Education, Rights and Protection”:

Ghashful takes a holistic approach to ensure that children from marginalized communities have access to inclusive education, psychosocial support, and a safe environment that nurtures their development. Our work spans formal and non-formal education, early childhood development, tutorial support for out-of-school children, and protection initiatives that address child labour, abuse, and neglect. We also promote child rights and wellbeing through awareness-raising, community engagement, and policy advocacy.

Who We Serve:

Our interventions target underprivileged and vulnerable children—including those from Dalit communities, dropout or out-of-school children, adolescents at risk, and orphaned children—living in both urban and rural contexts, including host communities in Cox’s Bazar.

Key Programs and Supporters:

This thematic area is implemented through the Ghashful Paran Rahman School and Shishu Bikash Kendra (supported by Ghashful), Evening Learning Centers under the ENRICH Program (supported by PKSF), the Community-Based Child Protection Program (supported by Ghashful), and the Foster Children Care Centre (supported by individual philanthropists). Ghashful is also an active member and governing body representative in national child rights and protection networks, and regularly hosts seminars and webinars to influence child-focused policy and practice.
