With the aim of further strengthening transparency, accountability and financial discipline, the 25th meeting of the Ghashful Finance and Audit Committee, which was the first meeting of the 2025 to 2026 fiscal year, was held on 17 December through the virtual platform Zoom. The meeting was chaired by the Convener of the Committee and Vice President of the Ghashful Executive Committee, Mr. Shiv Narayan Kairy.
Committee members Ms. Parveen Mahmud FCA, Ms. Kabita Barua and Ms. Samiha Salim attended the meeting, along with the Committee Secretary and Deputy Director Finance and Accounts, Mr. Maruful Karim Chowdhury. Ghashful’s Chief Executive Officer Mr. Aftabur Rahman Jafree, Deputy Directors Mr. Jayanta Kumer Bosu and Ms. Sadia Rahman, and Manager of the Audit and Monitoring Department Mr. Wahid Jaber Chowdhury were also present.
During the meeting, several important and timely directives were provided to make the organization’s internal audit system more robust and effective. Recommendations were also adopted on key financial management issues, including the appointment of external auditors and income tax advisors for the 2025 to 2026 fiscal year and the approval of the audit report for the 2024 to 2025 fiscal year.
